I just finished watching the first season of the BBC version of The Office. I have seen some of this show previously but didn't really get into it. Wow is all I can say. I really really really hate the boss character, not as a well acted character, but as a human being. He makes me cringe with every word he speaks. Anyways, I really like this show and I'm looking forward to watching the american version as well.

Well I just want to send out a big congratulations to Dustin & Laura on the birth of their baby boy! Welcome to planet earth littlest Reimer.

I've decided to buy a Nintendo Wii. Now normally when you decide to buy something it's a matter of driving down to the store and placing a purchase, or at worst ordering it off the internet and waiting a few days for shipping. Things are very different when it comes to a Wii. You hear the phrase "world-wide shortage" and think "well, there must be at least one kicking around somewhere. Nope. No way. I have about 70 phone numbers for 21 different stores and have called most of them. Everywhere I call it's the same story. Out of stock. They haven't seen them since November and don't expect them till February. Now I know that these sales people actually don't know when shipments arrive so I will continue my daily hunt until I am the proud owner of the most coveted item of 2007, the Wii.

So I get a call the other night from my mother. She informs me that she just won first place in a writing contest in the Carillon, a local newspaper. (You need to scroll down to the section labelled Christmas writing winners. I guess they have no idea how to design web pages, let alone spell. Our last name is Kornelson, not Kornselson.)
Unfortunately they didn't publish the actual stories online so you need to go out and buy a paper copy and read it in section D. There is even a full color photo of me sitting beside my grandpa. (I'm the one in the striped shirt and the adorable grin). Anyways, kudos again to my mom!

Just a quick update here about me hitting a deer. MPI says it caused $2500 damage to my car. At least I don't have to pay for it, although I guess I've been paying for it all along.
